By booking a Sleep Moore unit, you agree to the following terms.

1. What you're hiring

Sleep Moore units are marine-grade impact-resistant foam buffer cuffs designed to reduce hull noise and contact while your vessel is on a mooring buoy overnight. Your unit will be delivered to your charter company by a Sleep Moore operator on the day of departure. You'll fit it around the mooring buoy yourself during your trip, and it will be collected on your return.

2. Booking & payment

• Bookings are made via this website and confirmed on payment OR via your charter company.
• Hire is charged per day, per the pricing shown at checkout.
• Units are delivered to your charter company ( CORAL SEA  MARINA) on the day of departure and collected on your return. If your vessel is berthed elsewhere, contact us before booking to confirm we can service it.
• Each unit is serial-numbered and logged against your vessel and charter company for the duration of hire.

3. Your responsibilities

While the unit is in your care, you agree to:

• Fit the unit around the mooring buoy yourself, following the installation instructions provided with the unit.
• For safety, use a minimum of two people in the tender whenever installing or recovering the unit from the buoy.
• Use it only for its intended purpose — buffering your vessel against a mooring buoy during an overnight stop.
• Only use the unit on a  Queensland public mooring buoy that's within its rated wind and vessel-length class for current conditions (see Section 6) — do not use it if conditions exceed what that mooring is rated for.
• Avoid deliberate misuse, including using it as a fender against other vessels or structures, as a flotation device (it is not a personal flotation device or pool toy), or as a cushion or seat.
• Take reasonable care to prevent loss overboard — both while using the tender to install or remove the unit from the buoy, and while it's aboard your vessel. When not in use, stow the unit in a dry locker rather than leaving it loose on deck.
• Report any damage, malfunction, or loss to Sleep Moore as soon as practicable, and in any event before returning the vessel.
• Remove the unit from the mooring buoy each morning before departing — it is not to be left on the buoy unattended during the day. Give it a quick rinse with fresh water before stowing.
• At the end of your hire period, rinse the unit, return it to its storage bag, and return to you charter company. 

4. Loss or damage

• Fair wear and tear is covered by us and is not charged to you. This includes surface scuffing, fading, and minor abrasion from normal contact with the buoy and mooring line.
• Damage beyond fair wear and tear — including cuts, tears, punctures, crushing, or chemical/fuel damage — along with loss or non-return of a unit, is charged to you at replacement or repair cost, capped at $500 AUD per unit, unless the damage results from a manufacturing fault.
• Every unit carries a serial number logged against your booking and vessel. If a unit is lost overboard as a result of misuse or failure to follow these terms, you may also be separately liable for any littering fine issued by Marine Parks for debris in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, in addition to the replacement cost above.
• We'll assess and notify you of any loss/damage charge within 3 business days of collection, with photos where relevant.

5. Limitation of liability

• Sleep Moore units are a noise and contact buffer only. They are not a mooring, anchoring, or safety device, and do not replace your vessel's own mooring lines, fenders, or your obligations as skipper under your charter agreement.
• The unit is designed for use within normal mooring conditions as set by GBRMPA's mooring classification system (see Section 6). Sleep Moore is not liable for failure or loss of the unit, or for any damage to your vessel or the buoy, arising from use on a mooring in conditions exceeding its rated class.
• Installing and recovering the unit using your tender is your responsibility, including following the two-person minimum and any other safety guidance provided. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sleep Moore is not liable for personal injury arising from how you conduct tender operations — this remains governed by your charter agreement and your obligations as skipper.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sleep Moore (and its operator) is not liable for any indirect or flow-on loss arising from use of the unit — for example, if a noisy night affects your enjoyment of the trip, or a delay or dispute with your charter company isn't directly caused by a fault in the unit itself.
• Nothing in these terms excludes any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
• Your liability under these terms is capped at $500 AUD per unit, except in cases of deliberate misuse or gross negligence, in which case you remain liable for the full cost of replacement.

6. Marine Parks & mooring use

Sleep Moore units are used in line with conditions agreed with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (Marine Parks) for mooring buoy use in the Whitsundays. You remain bound by all standard mooring and Marine Parks regulations as briefed by your charter company — Sleep Moore use does not change or relax those obligations. As each unit's serial number is traceable to your booking, loss of a unit at sea may be referred to Marine Parks as marine debris (see Section 4).

Public moorings in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park are classified by GBRMPA according to maximum vessel length and maximum wind speed, as set out below. You must moor only within the limits of the mooring's class, and you must not use the unit (or remain on the mooring) if wind conditions exceed the rated limit for that mooring's colour code.

7. Cancellation

• Cancel on the same day you booked for a full refund.
• After that, cancellations are subject to a 50% deposit (non-refundable) to cover admin and delivery costs already incurred.
• If your charter itself is cancelled or cut short by your charter company (e.g. due to weather), let us know and we'll refund accordingly.

8. Acceptance

Payment via this website constitutes acceptance of these terms on behalf of yourself and all crew aboard your vessel for the duration of hire. By booking, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of everyone aboard, and all crew share responsibility for compliance with this agreement during the hire period.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.
